"Where there playgrounds are full of people, their
hospitals remain empty"
Beautiful, historical, and memorable places have
played vital role for visitors. The beauty and structure of places make a magic
of attraction. Their power pulls people to visit such places again and again.
As the fragrances of flowers attract people like that Municipal Stadium is
centre of beauty and place of entertainment for the people of Larkano.
Stadium has great worth. Its foundation stone was laid
by Zulfiqar Bhutto Minister for foreign affairs government of Pakistan on 24th March
1963. It took 3 years in construction. On 29th May 1966 it was
inaugurated by Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Minister for foreign affairs government of Pakistan. After
construction it was looked after under provincial authority. Building has no
any provincial budget for its property. It is municipal's property. It covers
area of 250000 sq ft. it has giant play ground where different games are
arranged e.g. Cricket, Hockey, Football etc.
All big events and national days are celebrated here like Independence Day, Sports day, Eid festivals and musical shows. In the morning dewy grass of stadium touches the feet of people when they walk in ground. There are 3 entrance gates. There is huge sitting area where probably more than two thousand people can be accommodated here.
There is also a gymnasium behind the stadium people come
here twice a day in morning and in the evening time. In 2009 Sindh games were
also arranged here whose chief guest was Chief Minister of Sindh Qaim Ali Shah.
In Sindh games all types of games were arranged and different teams from
different cities of Sindh participated in Sindh games. Those were pleasant days
for the people they came there to enjoy games with keen interest.
Municipal stadium larkano has great view and
constructed in well design. All political speeches are also made here in 2009
Banazir Bhutto also made speech here. This stadium is also under development. Now
days this stadium is renamed as Shaheed Banazir Bhutto stadium.
