New and old Parks of Hyderabad Sindh

Lady Driver, Beware! by Sonahri shaikh

Lady Driver, Beware!

Feature, by Sonahri shaikh
2k11/MC/93

Lady driver are most noticeable on roads in their driving. Being a woman and performing a man’s deeds is quiet funny but risky. According to the google mostly road accidents are thought up by lady drivers. May be, but why it happens and how?
Some people says that a women are not careful while driving. They don’t have the sense of crossing, overtaking, turning and parking. One of my friend said that “women get panic on horns and they get confused if someone overtakes her car. So it is better to stay 2 miles away from a lady driver”. What if same question I ask from all the male drivers, that in their whole driving experience havent they become confuse just for a second?

Obviously, if a bike or a car overtakes you surprisingly, the driver would be confused for a seconds. But a woman will take minutes to get fine..

In my experience I have seen many male drivers who perform lame activities during their drive like unwanted horns, turning and crossing without indicators, parking in no-parking area and breaking the signals.

One of my friend shared that while crossing the chowk a car overtook her sudden that she got in panic and parked the car on the road side. She noticed that all the people who crossed her was commenting and blaming her for the incident. She felt abysmal that why is she blamed? Just because she is a lady driver?

Why we always blame girls in every aspect? Do I take it personal? Or I should take it as a common foolishness in human’s mind.! Same mistakes and stupid activities are also performed by the male drivers on roads than why we only blame a lady driver?

Women just don’t need a space in one’s heart but in other aspects too. If we stop blaming others and pay attention on our mistakes and become careful than it would not be difficult to have a peaceful drive. According to my resaerch and google, nowadays Women are participating in car racing  and there is a lady named as Zahida Kazmi who is hailed as a first lady who drives taxi in Pakistan.

It is not women who messes on roads, it is you. So think about it boys.

BODYBUILDING

                               BODYBUILDING

Syed Aqeel Hussain

Nowadays, people use different methods to become fit and smart, and bodybuilding is one of them. Bodybuilding is the act of building up muscles by working out and shaping one's diet to put on more muscle mass. Often, bodybuilding is done for recreation, for personal betterment or as a competitive sport. Bodybuilding makes not only a fit body but also fit mind. The word bodybuilding itself defines everything. It is so easy to understand the meaning of this word and what this sport is about. Bodybuilding is the best sports when it works to make your body proportionally shaped and fit.
The sport of bodybuilding is judged on the bases of physical appearance and demonstrations of the participants. There is currently a campaign to have bodybuilding adopted as an Olympic sport, but, this campaign is facing strong resistance by some sectors. . Bodybuilding as a sport is not athletic  therefore, it should not be confused with lifting sports or strongman competitions. The focus on bodybuilding is a specific aesthetic and balance of muscle mass.
Eugen Sandow was the Father of modern  bodybuilding. It  is  the life changing activity.
Following are the benefits of bodybuilding:
1.    Better looking body
2.    Strength of muscles
3.    Increased production of anabolic hormones
4.    Harder bones and tendons
5.    Better posture
6.    Happiness
Bodybuilding  has undoubtedly  great benefits. It makes us more muscular, generally, better looking and also more confident, stronger , healthier and happier.
On other hand, there are also some defects of bodybuilding, many people especially youngsters do not follow the rules of bodybuilding and get injured, sometime, it causes serious injuries . Some people use steroids and other supplements for increasing their body mass, that is very harmful for  health and it causes different kinds of harmful diseases like cancer.

Discrimination In Education In Our Country

Discrimination In Education In Our Country

Zahra Khuzema
Why every parent thinks a hundred times before admitting his/her child to a school ? , if there are two options kept infront of them that is private school and government school, parents would prefer private school over the government school.

The root cause why parents do so is that they doubt the quality of education given in the government school, not only the education but the environment as well in which their child would be brought up to be an unknown person. The parents which can afford private schools they go for it, but the lower class people have no option but to admit their child in government school. Children studying in government school face many problems, few of them are listed below :
·       Teachers which are not trained
·       Politics in the school
·       Corruption highlighted
·       Lacking staff attendance

There are many other problems as well, the students studying there have to suffer. The syllabus in government schools is same throughout the years, it is so similar to the one in stoneage (old) that the mother of 1970’s hasw also studied it and the daughter of 2013 is still studying the same. The standard of this course is pretty low, lot of grammatical mistakes, seldome incorrect sentence construction. Most of the times the text books are in urdu and if in english then it is the worst written english. It does not matter much that how the texty books are printed, the thing which matters that how the teachers convey their lecture to the students.

Coming back to square one, the syllabus throughout the coun try should be same, so that the education system which has been divided in the name of caste, class and status can come to an end. The discrimination among the upper class and the lower class has been reached to an extreme, this can only overcome when government will take the initial step which is that atleast the teaching plans and the syllabus should be same and equal for the entire Pakistan. The day is not far when the literacy rate of our country will start escalating.

Thar A Backword Territory

Thar
A Backword Territory

Zahra Khuzema
In my view , Thar is a place composed of traditions, customs, rituals, poverty, illiteracy and moreover the place is fully underdeveloped. But when i was'nt aware of it i thought it would be like a place full of castles and forts, kings and their soldiers, because i did'nt had an idea about what would Thar look like. It was a December morning when i was about to leave for Thar with my college mates, carrying alot of fantacies in mind left for Thar. It was around 12pm when we reached our destination, the time duration between Thar and Hyderabad was around 4 and half hour and the distance is 345 km. Thar is the 18th largest subcontinental desert.

When i stepped out of the bus, my all fantacies were in ruins !, i only saw desert & desert uptill my sight could reach. It was so sweltering that it was hard to say that it was december !. The dry weather and on top of that the scorching beams of sun made me wanted to go back home. As my instructor were originated from Thar so he knew everything about it, he monitored us towards a school, he wanted us to see that how students studies there in vile conditions.

After taking a long distance on foot finally we reached to a shoddy structure, inheriting just two classes, each class comprising a charpai (A cane bedsted) and so called blackboard which actually was'nt a blackboard but a part of the wall painted black. Inadequate strength of students as well as teachers. No bathrooms, proper water supply, electricity, the main assets were defficient. It was an alleged school where students were only taught to read and write their names properly. The inhabitants there were very welcoming, they did their best to satisfy and comfort us, we also had our lunch in that school, ate while sitting on the floor it was an entirely different experience of my life.

After completing our lunch we headed to meet the residents and to see the way of their living. When we touched there, it was not a house but huts where almost 5 to 6 families resided, there were a total of 3 huts, one had a charpai and a rough kind of a blanket to shield them from cold, i was stunned to see that how uncomfortable and bristly that blanket was. The next hut was a kitchen where they had a wooden stove, chakki (wheat grounder), some cooking utensils and a walled fridge that kept things cool, it was made inside the wall by digging it a bit hollow it also had a door to keep the eatables safe. We were amazed to see a fridge working without electricity.
We were surprised to see that how these people survived without the essential needs. It was time to return after capturing some unforgettable snaps, we also had brought some chocolates and toys from Hyderabad for the kids, the kids did'nt know what these things were, they started eating chocolates along with wrappers, and the toys which had a proper way to play they started throwing it at eachother not knowing how they work.

The thing which appealed me the most was the concord and amity in their lifestyle. Apart from the fact that they were illiterate and emblematic kind of people, in urban areas people have got high standards of living but have got no peace !

By Kanwal Zaidi

When we take glances of the last decade, once a classy product, the mobile phone, is now practically with-in the reach of every person of the society, and are believed to be a basic communication vital tool.
In 1991, GSM (Global system for mobiles) was introduced in Europe and within four years the Egyptian company, Orascom Telecom in 1994 first time invested in Pakistan’s telecom market with the name of Mobilink.  Ufone was second company, which was established with govt. assistance.

With the increase in cell phone users the abusive use of technology has been observed. People use their phones for purposes like flirting, fraud and in terrorism activities as well. 98% of the users are using prepaid sim in Pakistan and only 2% using postpaid sim and according to companies (ARPU) average revenue per user was 15 rupees. Rumor was heard that govt. soon going to convert all prepaid sims to postpaid which may raise the prices of calls and messages.

Mobile number portability known as MNP (Malaysia Nigeria Pakistan) is the service which allows you to retain your old number when changing from old network, this service in South East Asia was first introduced in Pakistan. Warid is the network which suffering from loss due to this service, and Zong through this service gets high advantages.

Everyday new development and improvement in mobile phone models and technologies is now becoming necessary and fashion as well. Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) is the leading company in the telecommunication sector. Pakistan Telecommunication Authority is the government agency which uses to monitor the functions of telecommunication industry. Mobile manufacturer companies are introducing new devices, models and mobile software, hardware with every fresh day.
Mobile phones use to perform tasks like text messaging, email, MMs, Internet access, short-range wireless communications (infrared, Bluetooth), business applications sometimes offer us company with gaming and photography.

Strong competition between mobile service providers also led to cheaper call rates, both locally and internationally. Networks like Warid, Ufone, Telenor and Zong are famous networks here. Samsung, LG, Apple, and Rim: Blackberry, Motorola Inc. and Sony Ericson are the well-known mobile phone manufacturer company in the world.
Different network companies establishing their cell phone towers in populace areas which is dangerous because mobile phone practices electromagnetic radiations, which may cause several serious diseases, which include diseases such as cancer, brain tumors, leukemia, birth defects, miscarriages, stress and other skin diseases.
However, every technology has its own limitations, exploitation or addiction of anything is dangerous not only for yourself but for others as well. Everything comes with advantages and disadvantages now it’s up-to us that how we are going to deal.

Though, we can’t neglect the fact that telecom is the only industry which pays 19.5% GST, which is highest and the future of this industry is bright with introduction of 3G (third Generation) technology which is expected to be in Pakistan this year.
